Not only will Doug Wimbish be joining the School of Rock House Band as they perform at the WimBash>>Philadelphia 2012, he'll be "Guest Professor" for a day at the Fort Washington School of Rock on April 23, 2012, hosting a clinic and Q and A for the students at the School of Rock.
Doug’s belief system includes transcending the old to the new and having faith in young musicians’ ability to carry on with their own musical legacy. At the School of Rock, he will promote music history, awareness and the need for passion, while encouraging kids to believe in themselves.

"WimBash>>Cabarete 2012 presented by The DREAM Project and DREAMin' Live", will be held on May 12, 2012 to benefit The DREAM Project, which every year helps more than 2,000 children receive a better education through its 24 programs in 11 different communities, affecting the lives of over 4,000 community members.
Doug and Guitarist Magazine's "2010 Blues Guitarist of the Year" Eric Gales will be joined by DJ Rampage Global, local drummer Van Avakian, Joey Ciotti and Culture Shock, Circuito Negro and The Cabarete Dance Crew in a free concert that is sure to rock Cabarete once again!
