An estimated half million people attended the Philly 4th of July Jam presented by The Roots as part of the Wawa Welcome America Celebration. Doug Wimbish performed with Ms Lauryn Hill during her surprise, special guest appearance at the concert.
In front of a 4th of July crowd estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands, Doug Wimbish joined Ms Lauryn Hill as she performed in a surprise, special guest appearance at the Philly 4th of July Jam presented by The Roots. The concert, as part of the Wawa Welcome America Celebration, was streamed live and televised on air. The legendary The Roots were the host band. Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah and Jazzy Jeff, Common and Darryl Hall also performed at the amazing concert. Doug had a chance to meet up with Philadelphia's Mayor, Michael Nutter, as well as the Philadelphia Chief of Police, Charles Ramsey.
