Living Colour releases remake of “Cult of Personality” featuring Steve Vai

On the heels of their incredible performance at Rock In Rio with Steve Vai, Living Colour decided to recreate that energy with a re-recorded version of their classic “Cult of Personality” featuring Steve Vai. The 100,000 fans in attendance at the Living Colour with Steve Vai performance at Rock in Rio 2022 were treated to a once in a lifetime rendition of “Cult of Personality”, where guitar greats Vernon Reid and Steve Vai traded licks, joined by the boisterous energy of Living Colour’s lead singer Corey Glover, bassist Doug Wimbish & drummer Will Calhoun. Living Colour guitarist & co-founder Vernon Reid stated "To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Living Colour’s first appearance in Brazil, which incidentally was also bassist Doug Wimbish's first live appearance with the band, we are releasing a special edition version of “Cult Of Personality” featuring our special guest in Rio de Janeiro, our dear friend, the extraordinary Mr Steve Vai on additional guitar. The remake was engineered & mixed by the original producer of the original song, Mr Ed Stasium." Stream or download the song here →
